Fleas, Mites & Mange
The parasitic causes of an itchy pet: fleas (and flea-allergy dermatitis, where a single bite drives weeks of itching), mites and mange (demodex, the intensely itchy and contagious sarcoptic mange, ear and harvest mites). The cheapest, most-missed rule-out — "I never see fleas" does not rule out flea allergy. Treat every in-contact pet and the home, year round.
