Hepatic

Copper-Associated Hepatopathy

A form of canine liver disease where copper builds up in the liver and drives damage, in some breeds and with some diets. It is confirmed by measuring copper on a biopsy, not from enzymes or breed alone, and managed with a copper-appropriate diet and, when confirmed, chelation. The UK picture genuinely differs from the North American headlines.
